Portfolio Update 03-24-24, etc

Added a few new things to the portfolio! Of particular note are the three new Last Band On Earth pages I added to the Comics section - these were featured in a recent exhibition of Canadian cartoonists at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in Angoulême, France! I cannot overstate how much of a big flippin' deal this is - I am floored that I was asked to be in this exhibition. I didn't end up going to the festival, unfortunately, as I was contacted about this in November and it would have been difficult to plan a trip on such short notice (the festival is in January).

I will be appearing at Amazing Stories in Saskatoon once again for this year's Free Comic Book Day, hope to see you there! I will have some new stickers, prints, and print editions of The Paradox and How To Draw Guitars available.

That's all for now - more portfolio stuff is on the way, I'm just waiting for permission to post a few other recently completed jobs. See you then! :)

Small portfolio update!

I've added a couple new pieces to the portfolio, take a look! I also somehow forgot to mention that I exhibited at TCAF, the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, a couple of weeks ago, and had a great time. I could tell that attendance was down from previous years, and it was still my best TCAF to date in terms of sales - thanks so much to everyone who came to say hi & buy some books!

My next show will be Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD in September - I am VERY excited about this, as I've only been able to do this show once before, in 2013. Up until now it was always the same weekend as my local show, Saskatoon Expo, which has now been moved to April.

After that, in October, I'll be doing Panel One in Calgary, kind of a Calgary CAF, another great show I'm very much looking forward to.

As always, feel free to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Ko-Fi or Patreon, as those are kept pretty up to date!

Till next time,

Big news update!

Hi everyone! Quite a bit of news to share, so I'll get started - I'm thrilled to announce that The Last Band On Earth #1 is officially a Joe Shuster Award winner! Click here to see the full list of 2021 nominees and winners.

I should also mention that I had a story published in last year's Cloudscape Comics anthology, Through The Labyrinths Of The Mind, a collection of mental health themed stories. I love all the Cloudscape books and it was a great honour to be included in one. You can purchase a copy of Labyrinths here!

Finally, barring anything unforseen, I will be appearing as a creator guest at this year's Saskatoon Expo, April 29th-May 1st, and then again the following week at Amazing Stories (fellow Shuster winners!) for Free Comic Book Day Artist Alley, May 7th. Hope to see you there!

Another portfolio update!

Just added a bunch of new Portfolio pieces, take a look! Again, a reminder you can follow me on Patreon for comic updates, and Twitter for non-comic art and other ephemera.

The old Store link is now defunct, I've now set up a new store on Ko-Fi, over at https://ko-fi.com/elainemwill/shop - you can also support me with small donations there if you wish.

I will be exhibiting at TCAF in June, debuting The Last Band On Earth issue #3, I'm very excited! Hope to see you there!
